Amit Shah To Meet Singer Moosewala Family

The murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala is becoming a political issue. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had met Mooswala family on Friday, now the family is going to meet Home Minister Amit Shah. There will be a talk between Moosewala family and Amit Shah at a hotel in Chandigarh on Saturday evening.

It is discussed that the family will demand from the Home Minister that the investigation of the murder should be done by a central agency and justice should be given to them.

Moosewala family left for Chandigarh from Mansa on Saturday morning. His family is to meet Amit Shah here at five o’clock in the evening.

Arrangements have been made for the meeting of Moosewala family and Amit Shah at Hotel J Marriott in Chandigarh. Tight security has been deployed around the hotel.

On Friday, Bhagwant Mann had met Moosewala family. Mann reached Moosewala house in his village at around 10 am and spent about an hour with his family. Heavy police force was deployed outside Moosewala residence in view of the Chief Minister’s visit.

Sidhu Moosewala (28) was shot dead by unidentified assailants on May 29 in Mansa district. The incident took place a day after the state government downgraded security for Moosewala. His cousin and a friend, who were traveling in the jeep with Moosewala, were also injured in the attack.

At the same time, ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Gurpreet Singh, who reached Moosewala house before Mann’s visit, also faced opposition. The protesters also raised slogans against the state government. Meanwhile, AAP accused the Congress of playing dirty politics over the killing of Moosewala.
