Chief of The Army Staff At National War Memorial: After taking over as the Chief of the Army Staff, General Manoj Pandey reached the National War Memorial in Delhi for the first time today. There he paid floral tributes and paid tribute.

After this, Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pandey said that the geo-political situation is changing rapidly and we have many challenges before us. It is the duty of the Indian Army to be ready to deal with any challenge by coordinating with other forces. I will try my best to carry forward the works which were done before me.

Army Chief General Manoj Pandey said that my topmost priority would be to ensure high standards of operational preparedness to meet current, contemporary and future challenges across the entire spectrum of conflict. In terms of capacity development and modernization, my endeavor would be to bring in new technologies through ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.

He said that I want to focus on the ongoing reforms, restructuring and transformation so that the operational strength of the army can be increased. The objective would be to increase the inter-service corporation. I know the other two army chiefs very well. This is a good start for synergy, cooperation and joint skills between the three services. I assure you that all three of us will work together and take things forward for national security and defence.

General Manoj Pandey was given the Guard of Honor on taking over as the 29th Chief of the Army Staff. Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary and Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar were also present on the occasion. It is worth noting that all the three chiefs are now from the 61st course of NDA.
