Arvind Kejriwal: Laughing At BJP Not On Film Kashmir Files

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal reacts on his recent comments in Delhi Legislative Assembly in which he spoke at about The Kashmir Files, among other things.

Arvind when asked by India Today that if he was laughing at the movie during his address, Kejriwal told hat he was laughing “at the BJP and not at The Kashmir Files”.

“We were laughing at the BJP. The BJP is indulging in gimmicks instead of rehabilitating them [Kashmiri Pandits]. The BJP and its workers are sticking posters of the movie everywhere. Is this what BJP leaders entered politics for?”

Arvind Kejriwal went further to allege that BJP leaders are also unhappy with the manner in which they are “being used” by the party’s central leadership.

“No one is saying that I laughed at Kashmiri Pandits. Only the BJP is saying it,” he said.

“When you go home and your children ask you what you do for a living, will you tell them that you put up movie posters,” he had asked BJP MLAs.

Arvind Kejriwal said, “If the central government has not made the movie, why are they promoting it? If I like a movie, I tweet about it but the BJP has engaged its entire party infrastructure in promoting a movie.”

Kejriwal also had a message for Kashmiri Pandits. He said: “I am very sad and disturbed that you have been seeking justice for the past 32 years and no one did anything. Whatever I could, I did in Delhi but if we had a government at the Centre, we would not have made a movie about it, we would have offered a hand to Kashmiri Pandits and rehabilitated them.”
