Bhagwant Mann Government Intensifies Anti-Gangster Drive as Punjab Police Conducts 438 Raids

Authorities reiterated their commitment to ensuring a safer Punjab through sustained action against gangsters.

Bhagwant Mann has continued its statewide campaign against gangster networks under the ongoing “Gangstran Te Vaar” initiative, carrying out extensive raids across the state as part of efforts to curb organized crime.

According to Punjab Police, 438 targeted raids were conducted at identified locations in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab.

Bhagwant Mann: Individuals Arrested During Operations

Police officials said that 156 individuals were arrested during the latest round of operations. Authorities also apprehended one proclaimed offender and recovered one weapon during the crackdown.

The raids were carried out based on intelligence inputs and mapping of suspected criminal networks operating in different parts of Punjab.

Total Arrests Cross 32,500

Punjab Police stated that a total of 32,553 arrests have been made since the launch of the anti-gangster campaign, reflecting the scale of the ongoing enforcement drive against organized crime groups.

Officials said the operations are aimed at disrupting gangster networks, tracking wanted criminals, and preventing criminal activities across the state.

Focus on Public Safety

The campaign is being conducted under the slogan “Zero Tolerance Against Gangsterism” and is part of the Punjab government’s broader efforts to strengthen law and order.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to ensuring a safer Punjab through sustained action against gangsters, organized crime syndicates, and individuals involved in criminal activities.

Public Encouraged to Share Information

Punjab Police has urged citizens to assist law enforcement agencies by sharing information related to gangster activities through its anonymous Anti-Gangster Helpline.

Officials said community participation remains important in efforts to dismantle criminal networks and maintain public safety across the state.
