Bihar News: Theft accused Araria prisoner consumes acid, was being tortured by inmate

Bihar News: A Prisoner had consumed acid in jail after being tortured by another inmate. The incident is reported from Bihar’s Purnia.  The victim was from Araria district. He was arrested for theft after complaint by the wife of retired soldier. He was kept in the jail with the accused who used to torture him by different means. After being Fed up from his behavior, the victim committed suicide. The victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment where the doctors are trying to save his life.

Authorities trying to record the statements of inmates

The jail authorities are also recording the statements of the other inmates about the behavior of both the inmates in the cell during the day. After the incident, extra security personnel have been asked to look after the cell where the other inmates are kept. Authorities are also trying to scan the CCTV footage if something can come out of the cameras.

Jail authorities are also trying to investigate the source of acid in the jail. It is impossible for any inmate to bring something like this inside the jail where there is so much of security. Cops are finding every angle of the case.
