BJP leaders have prepared EC’s report: Hemant Soren

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s assembly membership is under threat. In fact, the Election Commission has sent its opinion to the Governor regarding the cancellation of Hemant Soren’s membership. The Election Commission has also sent its opinion on the allegations of being in office of profit.

Meanwhile, latest information has been received that Governor Ramesh Bais has reached Ranchi from Delhi. After reaching Ranchi airport, when the media asked him a question about the report of the Election Commission, he said that I have no knowledge about it. I went to Delhi AIIMS for treatment. I will get information about it after reaching Raj Bhavan.

BJP leaders have prepared EC’s report: Soren

After getting information about this, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand has said that it seems that BJP leaders including their MPs and their puppet journalists themselves have drafted the report of the Election Commission, which has otherwise been sealed. The gross abuse of constitutional authorities and public agencies and its shameful takeover by the BJP headquarters is unseen in Indian democracy.

BJP national vice president and former Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das had claimed in February this year that Soren abused his position and allotted himself a mining lease, an issue that involved both conflict of interest and corruption. He also alleged violation of the provisions of the Representation of the People Act. Taking cognizance of the controversy, the Election Commission had in May sent a notice to Soren seeking his side on the mining lease.

Ownership of lease in violation of Section 9A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951

Election Commission sources had said that the ownership of the lease violates Section 9A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, which deals with disqualification for government contracts. The matter is still pending with the Election Commission. The petition before the Jharkhand High Court had sought a probe into alleged irregularities in grant of mining leases and transactions of some shell companies allegedly linked to the family members and associates of the Chief Minister. The court had on June 3 said that it is of the opinion that the writ petitions cannot be dismissed on the basis of maintainability and it will hear the cases on merits.
