BSA Scrambler 650: Royal Enfield to have a new competitor? From powerful engine to great looks, it seems to offer everything

BSA Scrambler 650: BSA Motorcycle unveiled the Gold Star 650cc motorcycle a few months back. Considering that a new BSA Scrambler concept bike was unveiled at the Motorcycle Live show in Birmingham, it appears that BSA is developing a brand-new 650cc Scrambler.

The manufacturer has not yet declared whether the new Scrambler will be a production model. The BSA Scrambler 650, according to a few media reports, might debut in 2023.

What do the photos suggest about the bike?

Photos from the event show that the design has a tough aesthetic. It has wire-spoke wheels, a raised front fender, a single seat, and a headlight grille as standard equipment. Although BSA refers to the motorcycle as a concept, the majority of its elements appear to be ready for mass production. The motorcycle sports a new colour with a side plate that reads “#28,” long travel suspension, and knobby tyres.

The motorcycle’s off-road design is evident in the wire-spoke wheels, wide handlebar, and headlamp cover. The BSA Scrambler 650 has dual exhaust pipes, a larger front wheel with a single brake disc, and two shock absorbers at the back.

What we know about the bike

A 652cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which also powers the Goldstar, is installed in the design. This engine has a max torque of 55Nm and a power output of 46bhp. It is coupled to a 5-speed transmission. The twin-pod instrument console for the BSA Scrambler 650 can have a semi-digital arrangement. The concept has a tachometer and a digital fuel gauge on the right side, while the left side has an analogue speedometer and an LCD for the odometer.
