Apple: "Excited to be manufacturing iPhone 14 in India"

Apple is ready to manufacture its flagship iPhone 14 in India. The company has confirmed that these devices will be manufactured in India at the contract-manufacturer Foxconn's factory in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu.

According to sources, the Made-in-India iPhone 14 will start reaching local customers in the next few days. The phones manufactured in India will be for both the Indian market and exports. According to news agency PTI, Apple said in a statement, "We are excited to manufacture the iPhone 14 in India."

Currently, Apple has 3 global partners- Wistron, Foxconn and Pegatron to manufacture iPhones in India. In India too, the same companies assemble the iPhone. Significantly, Apple has been trying to spread the production of iPhone outside China for a long time.

Apple, headquartered in Cupertino, California, started manufacturing iPhones in India in 2017 with the iPhone SE. Today, Apple makes some of its most advanced iPhones in the country, including the iPhone SE, iPhone 12, iPhone 13 and, now, the iPhone 14.

Apple has launched a total of 4 iPhones in the iPhone 14 series and Pro series on 7 September. The price of iPhone 14 starts at Rs 79,990, and its most expensive iPhone Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max (1TB) model has been priced at Rs 1,89,900.

The design of the iPhone 14 is very similar to the iPhone 13. It has a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR screen. The phone has the latest A15 Bionic chip and a strong battery. Apart from this, a 12-megapixel dual rear camera setup has been given in the iPhone 14. For selfies and video calls, the iPhone 14 has a 12-megapixel camera. At the same time, features like Wifi, GPS and Bluetooth have been provided in the handset for connectivity.
