Twitter, a social media platform recently acquired by billionaire Elon Musk , plans to auction off its extra items and memorabilia on January 17 from its headquarters in San Fransisco through an auction, which will be held on January 17.
Musk to auction Assets and Souvenirs in a cost cutting exercise
Biddings will start at $25, and the company will auction a large Twitter bird statue, projector, iMac screens, expresso machines , chairs and kitchenware. The company is selling about 265 kitchen appliances and office furniture.
Elon Musk, who fired over half of the Twitter staff, is being sued by the employees as a result of this contentious action.

Employees claim that the way they were let go was unethical and in violation of the country's labour regulations. Further, the firings breached multiple labor laws.
Earlier, Musk had disclosed that Twitter's San Francisco headquarters spend $13 million annually on food services.

- Kitchen equipment’s, memorabilia, electronics, furniture and more will be up for sale
- There are several types of office chairs, cabinets along with expresso machines / coffee grinders / steam tilting kettles ,pizza makers , electric / bakery ovens , freezers (including bar refrigerator), mobile heated cabinets , ice-making machines , fryers , laser projectors and more that have been put on sale
Musk had also stated that free staff lunches at Twitter HQ were costing more than $400 per meal.
Local authorities have begun an investigation into Musk's decision to turn some of the Twitter headquarters' rooms into small bedrooms.
Musk had previously stated that one should either be "very hardcore" at work or quit. Musk later transformed offices at the Twitter headquarters in San Francisco into tiny bedrooms with unmade mattresses, dull drapes, and enormous work monitors.
