Elon Musk plans to increase the number of Twitter layoffs

The process of retrenchment of employees in Twitter is not stopping. According to news agency Bloomberg, Elon Musk is planning to sack many more employees of the company by Monday. It is being told that there is a preparation to remove the employees of the Sales and Partnership Department.

Earlier, many engineers had collectively resigned from Twitter for working longer hours and new strategy.

Since acquiring Twitter in October, Elon Musk has arbitrarily made several major changes on the social media platform. Which includes decisions like firing half of the company's employees including senior management and implementing a strict work culture.

Many engineers had resigned after Musk's ultimatum, before this Elon Musk had given an ultimatum to the employees regarding work in Twitter. In which it was said that they would have to work fast for many hours. Those who want to work on these conditions have one day to decide, otherwise they will get three months salary and will be fired. Angered by Musk's ultimatum, many employees resigned.

Citing some Twitter employees, the agency said that on Friday, Musk has asked the officers in those organizations to remove more employees. People said Robin Wheeler, who ran marketing and sales, and another executive refused to do so, so both lost their jobs.

Major brands have said they are stopping spending on Twitter

People with knowledge of this whole matter said that Wheeler had decided to resign from Twitter earlier this month, but was convinced to stay. Wheeler has helped Musk negotiate with advertisers who are scared of Twitter's changing policies and approach. Several major brands have said they are stopping spending on Twitter.
