Gold Rate Update: The cost of gold has fallen even more. Pure gold fell by Rs 50 and 10 grammes of ornamental gold by Rs 100 today. The price of biscuit gold has decreased by more than 3,000 rupees over the past three weeks. Today's increase in the price of silver per kg is Rs 100. This has also decreased by about Rs 5,000 over the past three weeks.

Gold was trading down 0.17 per cent at Rs 55,340 per 10 grams and silver was trading down 1.06 per cent at Rs 63,845 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Amid mixed global cues, gold touched a new high of 58,660 post-Budget and set a new record price.

Multi Commodity Exchange of India is the full form of MCX. It is an autonomous body for commodity exchange in India. It offers to trade in bullion, energy and agricultural commodities apart from non-ferrous metals.

This is an exchange for commodities like the BSE is for stocks and shares. The MCX sells the products in bulk. 

The price for the asset depends upon various factors and is not determined at MCX. The MCX Silver rates are set by trading activity and a bunch of different other factors.

Gold Rate Update: As per IBJA, these are the prices of gold and silver

The price of gold has decreased today compared to yesterday, according to IBJA. The price of gold has decreased from Rs 56038 per 10 kilos yesterday evening to Rs 55957 per 10 grammes today. The cost of silver, on the other hand, increased from Rs. 64331 per kg. to Rs. 64549 per kg.
