In a significant legal development, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has taken legal action against two top officials of Aarka Sports Management in Ranchi. The renowned cricketer alleges a breach of a 2017 cricket academy deal by Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash, leading to financial losses exceeding Rs 15 crore.

Alleged Breach of 2017 Agreement

The crux of the matter revolves around an agreement signed in 2017 between Dhoni and Mihir Diwakar, wherein Aarka Sports Management was entrusted with the responsibility of running a global cricket academy. However, it is claimed that Diwakar failed to adhere to the agreed-upon terms, including the payment of a franchise fee and profit sharing.

Unfulfilled Obligations and Disregarded Terms

Despite the clear terms stipulated in the agreement, Aarka Sports Management allegedly neglected its obligations, prompting Dhoni to revoke the authority letter granted to the firm on August 15th, 2021. The dispute escalated as repeated reminders and legal notices sent by Dhoni went unanswered, leaving the cricketer with no choice but to pursue legal recourse.

Deception and Cheating Allegations

Dayanand Singh, representing Dhoni through Vidhi Associates, asserts that Aarka Sports Management deceived and cheated the cricket icon, resulting in a substantial financial loss. The dispute underscores the importance of contractual integrity and adherence to agreements in professional sports dealings.
