Hitachi Payment Services, a subsidiary of the renowned Japanese company Hitachi, has introduced India's inaugural UPI ATM in partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). This groundbreaking White Label ATM, dedicated to UPI transactions, offers enhanced security and accessibility at diverse locations across the country.

Revolutionizing Transactions with UPI ATM

NPCI commends this innovative solution for providing swift cash access, especially in remote areas, sans the need for physical cards. The UPI ATM introduces several key features designed to redefine the banking experience for users.

1. Card-Free Transactions:

A standout feature of the UPI ATM is the elimination of the necessity for physical debit or credit cards. Users can seamlessly conduct transactions without the need for a card, enhancing convenience and security.

2. Interoperable System:

The UPI ATM system is built to be interoperable, allowing users to utilize any UPI app of their choice for transactions. This flexibility ensures a user-friendly experience, irrespective of their preferred UPI application.

3. Transaction Flexibility and Multi-Account Usage:

With a transaction limit of up to Rs 10,000 per transaction, the UPI ATM offers users the flexibility to withdraw varying amounts based on their needs. Additionally, users can withdraw money from multiple accounts, irrespective of their bank.

Guidelines for Cash Withdrawal from UPI ATM

For those eager to leverage this innovative UPI ATM, the process is straightforward. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit any UPI ATM in your vicinity.

Step 2: Initiate the process by selecting your desired withdrawal amount. The UPI ATM system accommodates various withdrawal amounts, catering to diverse user needs.

Step 3: Upon selecting the withdrawal amount, a QR code will appear on the ATM screen. This QR code is vital for initiating the UPI transaction.

Step 4: Utilize any UPI-enabled app on your smartphone to scan the QR code displayed on the ATM screen, establishing a seamless connection between your phone and the UPI ATM.

Step 5: Authorise the transaction by entering your UPI PIN on your smartphone.

Step 6: Upon successful entry of the UPI PIN, the ATM processes the transaction and dispenses the requested cash amount.
