Meta India Public Policy And WhatsApp India Head Resign

Recently, Meta India Head Ajit Mohan had resigned from his post and now two big posts are vacant in India. This time resignation has been given by Whatsapp India Head Abhijit Bose and Meta’s Country Lead for Public Policy Rajeev Agarwal.

An official statement issued by the company said that Rajeev Agarwal has resigned from his position at META on the second chance and the company wishes him all the best for the future. At the same time, WhatsApp head will Cathcart thanked Abhijit Bose for his “significant contribution” as the first head of WhatsApp in India.

The WhatsApp head said in an official statement, “His (Abhijeet’s) drive has helped us bring the benefits of new services to millions of users and businesses. There is a lot more WhatsApp can do for India and we look forward to helping India’s digital transformation.”

Thousands of employees fired from Meta in the past

The company has also announced the appointment of Shivnath Thukral as Director of Public Policy for Meta for all its platforms in India. Earlier Facebook’s parent company Meta had informed about the removal of many employees in a blog post. CEO Mark Zuckerberg took responsibility for this and apologized.

For the first time in the history of the social media company, such a large number of employees have been removed and more than 11,000 employees have lost their jobs. Meta is not the only company that has fired many employees and companies like Amazon, Twitter are also included in this list.
