Mumbai Doctor Files FIR Against JSW's Sajjan Jindal, Alleging Rape and Criminal Offenses

Sajjan Jindal: The Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Group, Sajjan Jindal, has been accused of rape in a First Information Report (FIR) filed by Mumbai Police. A 30-year-old doctor from Mumbai has filed a complaint at the Bandra Kurla Complex Police Station, claiming that the incident happened on January 24, 2022, at a penthouse in Jindal's BKC offices.

Sajjan Jindal Faces IPC 376 - Rape Charge by Mumbai Police

Sajjan Jindal has been charged with rape under IPC 376, assault or criminal force against a woman with the intent to violate her modesty under IPC 354, and criminal intimidation under IPC 503 by Mumbai Police. According to the complainant's statement in the FIR, which CNBC-TV18 was able to view, she first met Sajjan Jindal on October 8, 2021 in Dubai, where they exchanged phone numbers with the intention of pursuing real estate-related transactions.

Complainant Details Unwanted Approaches by Sajjan Jindal

She also claims that after a few meetings, the accused made several attempts to approach her sexually, which she consistently rejected. She states that between October 2021 and January 2022, she had multiple meetings of this type with Jindal in various places and cities. On the other hand, the complainant claims that on January 24, 2022, she was sexually assaulted by Jindal when she went to his offices, which are located in a penthouse in BKC.

Timeline of Events

According to the FIR, the complainant made her initial complaint to the police on February 16, 2023. It goes on to say that at that point, she was allegedly approached by individuals claiming to be Jindal's representatives, who urged her to resolve the issue and withdraw her complaint. On December 13, 2023, a day after the police were given a court order to do so, the FIR was filed.

Sajjan Jindal Yet to Be Called for Questioning

As of right now, Sajjan Jindal has not been called in by the police to be questioned, according to CNBC-TV18. JSW Group has been contacted by CNBC-TV18 regarding these claims and developments.
