Petrol and Diesel Prices Update: National oil companies update fuel prices daily. As of the latest update on December 8, 2023, Brent Crude trades at $74.42 per barrel, and WTI Crude at $69.85 per barrel in the international market. However, there is no significant change in fuel prices at the national level. Minor fluctuations are observed in different cities across states. Fuel Rate In Major Cities:
According to IOCL, in the capital city Delhi, the price of one liter of petrol stands at ₹96.72, while diesel is priced at ₹89.62 per liter. Moving to the economic capital Mumbai, petrol is priced at ₹106.31 per liter, and diesel at ₹94.27 per liter. In Chennai, petrol costs ₹102.63 per liter, and diesel is priced at ₹94.24 per liter. Kolkata sees petrol at ₹106.03 per liter and diesel at ₹92.76 per liter.
How To Check Petrol and Diesel Prices Update:
To check fuel prices in your city through SMS, state governments apply Value Added Tax (VAT) based on their calculations, resulting in varying fuel prices. Indian Oil (IOCL) customers can send an SMS with the RSP code to 9224992249 to get daily petrol and diesel prices.
