PhonePe: Recently, the Indian Fintech giant, PhonePe launched a new credit section on its mobile application. With this new section, users will be able to check their CIBIL score. The fintech firm said that now PhonePe users can see the credit section on the homepage of the PhonePe app. This feature will allow users to easily check their credit scores, manage credit cards, and make timely bill payments with credit cards. “Credit bureau reports provide users with details like their credit usage, credit age, on-time payments and more,” PhonePe said.
Hemant Gala, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of PhonePe Credit, said, “We are excited to launch the Credit section on the PhonePe app, which is another step towards our goal of meeting the credit needs of consumers across multiple segments. We believe that financial empowerment starts with understanding and managing your credit health.
Free Credit Score Check
PhonePe Users will be able to check their CIBIL score free of cost. This feature of PhonePe lets you see your credit score and detailed credit insights like credit transactions and payment history paying bills for free.
Loan and Bill Payments
The new credit section feature provides users with the ability to conveniently pay both loans and bills directly through the app instead of using other conventional methods for credit card payments.
Credit Card Management
You can now keep track of your credit card expenses and manage your cards efficiently, all in one place. This can help you improve your credit utilization and stay on top of your credit card bills.
In other news, PhonePe has hinted at plans to introduce consumer loans within the app, further expanding its credit offerings to cater to diverse financial needs.
