Post Office GDS Recruitment: The Indian Postal Department has commenced the application process for the recruitment of more than 44,000 Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) in post offices across various circles in the country. The application process started on Monday, July 15, 2024. Initially, technical issues were reported on the official recruitment portal, indiapostgdsonline.cept.gov.in, but these have now been resolved, and the application process is underway smoothly.

Application Process and Deadline

Interested candidates can apply online through the official website until the last date of August 5, 2024. The application process involves three stages: registration, application, and payment of the recruitment fee. The application fee is set at Rs 100, which can be paid online. However, female candidates from all categories, as well as applicants from SC/ST, Divyang (differently-abled), and Transwomen categories, are exempt from paying the fee.

2. Application: After registration, candidates need to complete the application form.

Eligibility Criteria

According to the Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment Notification issued by the Department of Posts, the eligibility criteria are as follows:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board.
• Age Limit: Applicants should be between 18 and 40 years old as of August 5, 2024. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC, etc.) as per the Central Government rules.
