Reliance Digital: Customers will soon be able to obtain loans through Jio Financial Services to purchase a variety of consumer durables from Reliance Digital, including TVs, air conditioners, and refrigerators. Reliance has begun piloting its consumer durable lending programme in response to this. The company can launch Jio Financial Services in the final quarter of this year if this test project is successful. The company hopes to give customers who shop at Reliance Digital better financing alternatives and deals, which will boost Reliance Retail's earnings.

The company is offering customers of various commodities the option of Jio Finance together with other financial institutions and banks through a test initiative at multiple Reliance Digital outlets. Many businesses that offer financial services, such Bajaj Finserv and HDFC Bank, would face fierce competition once Jio's financial services are launched. On May 4, or a little over two months ago, the shareholders and creditors authorised the demerger of Reliance Industries and Reliance Strategic Investment. Share swap agreements will be used to complete this demerger. Reliance Strategic Investments will become Jio Financial Services Limited after the demerger process is complete.

Jio Financial Services Sets Sights on Consumer and Corporate Lending

Jio Financial Services intends to launch a consumer and corporate lending operation. Reliance's financial services division poses a significant threat to Paytm and other fintech startups in terms of market expansion, according to a report published by the international financial services giant Macquarie last year. Due to its extensive data access, Jio Financial Services will stand out from the majority of fintech companies. Companies like Jio, Alibaba, Amazon, and Apple can process and analyse this data in real time to offer crucial services in such a scenario.
