Stock Market Today: The Nifty futures contract on the Singapore Exchange fell 64 points, or 0.35 percent, to close at 18395.50, indicating Dalal Street will begin the day poorly.
The price of oil increased in early Asian trade on Friday after falling 2% in the previous session as a result of increases in central bank interest rates. It is expected to end the week higher as a result of several optimistic predictions for oil demand.

Tokyo stocks open lower

Today's massive red candle on the daily charts, which contradicted the flagship equity index Nifty's higher highs-higher lows structure from the previous two sessions, indicated further short-term weakness.
Tokyo's stock market opened down on Friday, continuing the steep drops seen on Wall Street due to disappointing US retail sales data and concerns that central banks' raising interest rates may lead to a global recession. The larger Topix index down 0.98 percent, or 19.12 points, to 1954.61 while the benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 1.34 percent, or 376.58 points, at 27675.12 in early trade.

Wall Street slupms

The main U.S. stock averages all had their largest daily percentage decline in weeks on Thursday as concerns mounted that the Federal Reserve's aggressive interest rate hike strategy to combat inflation would trigger a recession.

Rupee falls 27 paise

The US Federal Reserve's interest rate hike and its hawkish posture hurt investor sentiments, and the rupee fell 27 paise to end the day at 82.76 against the US dollar.

Stock Market Today: From yesterday

While its larger peer Nifty50 closed at 18415 level, the 30-share Sensex finished 879 points lower at 61799 points.
