Stock Market Today: Both Nifty and Sensex gain, biggest gainers Tata Consumer and Apollo Hospitals

Stock Market Today: Despite encouraging global indicators, Thursday saw volatility in the Indian markets. Investors in domestic equities made cautious bets in opposition to favourable foreign cues like the gradually declining price of crude and the FOMC minutes signalling a slowdown in rate hikes.

Sensex and Nifty

At about 9:38 AM, the Sensex was up 97.35 points, or 0.16%, trading at 61607.93. The index’s high and low points for the day were 61704.57 and 61600.42, respectively.

The Nifty 50 was up 28.85 points, or 0.16%, to 18296.10. The index’s peak and low readings for the day are 18327 and 18294.25 respectively.

The price of Tata Consumers stock soared by almost 3%, making it the top bull on the Nifty.

Stocks like UPL and HDFC Life increased by 1.14 to 1.10%. Apollo Hospitals and BPCL both slightly increased.

Top gainers

The Japanese “Nikkei” soared higher by around 370 points in early trade as it reopened following a vacation yesterday, driving the Asian markets’ positive start. The South Korean “Kospi” index led the gainers while most other Asian indices traded in the green.

Stock Market Today: Conclusion

As a result of the Federal Reserve minutes, which show an easing of the trajectory of rate hikes with a December hike of 50 basis points, US markets finished with gains overnight on Wall Street. Bond yields decline to 3.68% as the Dow Jones closes 100 points higher and the Nasdaq advances 110 points.
