Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX increased by 41.5 points, or 0.21 percent, at 19,380.5, indicating that Dalal Street is likely to have a poor start to the day. Today, numerous firms like LIC, ONGC, Coal India, M&M, Eicher Motors, BSE, Hindalco, and numerous more will release their second quarter earnings. On the weekly expiry day on Thursday, Nifty finished 48 points lower, creating a red candle on the daily chart.

Rupee settle higher; Tokyo stocks opened lower

Against the US dollar, the rupee remained range-bound and ended the day 1 paisa higher at 83.29 on Thursday despite persistent inflows of foreign funds and a downward trend in domestic markets. Due to market anxiety about Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s remarks that the US central bank is ready to raise interest rates further if necessary, Tokyo equities began lower on Friday.

Stock Market Today: Ashok Leyland profit increases to Rs 561 crore of Q2

Ashok Leyland, a manufacturer of commercial vehicles, announced on November 9 that its consolidated net profit for the September quarter of 2023–24 increased by 181% (YoY) to Rs 561 crore. This increase was attributed to increasing sales. In the same time of the previous fiscal year, the company had made a net profit of Rs 199 crore. The net profit decreased sequentially by 3% from Rs 576 crore in the prior quarter. Operating revenue increased 16.6% during the quarter to Rs 9,638 crore from Rs 8,266 crore during the corresponding period in the previous fiscal year.
