Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty indicates a bearish start; Tata Power Company, Adani Enterprises in focus

With the GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX trading lower by 65 points, or 0.30 per cent, at 21,485 on Monday, Dalal Street was set for a rough start.

Stock Market Today: Dalal Street was headed for a bad start on Monday as the GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX traded lower by 65 points, or 0.30 per cent, at 21,485. On Friday, the Nifty finished 274 points higher, setting new all-time highs. The daily and weekly charts showed a green candle. Monday saw a lower opening for Tokyo stocks as traders awaited more cues for the market, such as the Bank of Japan’s policy announcement later this week.In early trading, the benchmark Nikkei 225 index fell 0.66 percent, or 217.46 points, to 32,753.09, while the Topix index as a whole fell 0.86 percent, or 20.06 points, to 2,312.22.

Tata Power Company

A deal has been reached for the supply of 152 MWp DCR solar PV modules for NTPC’s Nokh solar PV project in Rajasthan by Tata Power Solar Systems, a fully owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy. About Rs. 418 crore is the project order value. In the Rajasthani town of Pokaran, NTPC is building the 3*245 MW (735 MW) Nokh Solar Park.

Adani Enterprises

For Rs 5.1 lakh, subsidiary AMG Media Networks has purchased a 50.50 percent interest in IANS India, consisting of equity shares (Category I shares with voting rights) and equity shares (Category II shares without voting rights). Additionally, AMNL and IANS and IANS shareholder Sandeep Bamzai signed a shareholders’ agreement.

PB Fintech

Through open market transactions, the Policybazaar operator’s 1,14,21,212 equity shares were sold by Softbank entity SVF Python II Cayman. SVF sold these shares for a total market value of Rs 913.75 crore, or Rs 800.05 per share. But according to CNBC-TV18, the Government Pension Fund purchased 1.6 million PB Fintech shares, while the HDFC Mutual Fund selected 1.15 million shares at the same price.
