Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX rose 144.5 points, or 0.71 percent, to 20,638, indicating that Dalal Street was set for a positive start on Monday. The Nifty ended 135 points higher on Friday in unknown territory above the 20,250-zone, forming a reasonable positive candle on the daily chart. A long bull candle was produced on the weekly chart. Gold prices rose to a record high above $2,100 on Monday, as traders grew more confident that the Federal Reserve would decrease interest rates in the new year.

Hero MotoCorp

In November 2023, the world’s top two-wheeler manufacturer sold 4.91 lakh units, a 25.6 percent increase over the 3.9 lakh units sold the previous year. In November, domestic sales jumped by 25.4 percent year on year to 4.76 lakh units, while exports increased by 33 percent year on year to 14,764 units.

Maruti Suzuki India

The country’s largest automaker reported a 3.3 percent drop in total production in November, to 1.47 lakh units, compared to 1.52 lakh units produced in the same month previous year. Passenger vehicle output fell 4.2 percent year on year to 1.45 lakh units.

Tata Power

PFC Consulting, a subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation, has won the contract to acquire Bikaner-III Neemrana-II Transmission, a project special purpose vehicle (SPV) put up by PFC Consulting. The gearbox project will be maintained by the company for the next 35 years. The project is estimated to cost Rs 1,544 crore and is expected to be completed within 24 months after the project SPV’s handover.
