Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty indicates a flat start; Reliance, Adani Enterprises in focus

Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX down by 0.02 percent to 19,350, indicating that Dalal Street may have a quiet start on Tuesday. A modest Doji candle emerged on the charts as the Nifty ended 40 points higher. The sideways movement is not very predictable. The dollar is cautious on Tuesday as traders avoided huge wagers ahead of a barrage of economic data this week, while the yen struggled near levels that prompted intervention last year.

Rupee on a muted note; Tokyo stocks opened lower

The rupee maintained in a narrow range and ended the day up 1 paisa at 82.63 vs the US dollar, as strong domestic equities were offset by increasing US currency and a recovery in crude oil prices.
Tokyo stocks opened higher on Tuesday after Wall Street advanced on comments from US Fed Chairman Jerome Powell indicating that US interest rates may have peaked.The Nikkei 225 index increased 0.36 percent, or 115.59 points, to 32,285.58, while the Topix index increased 0.28 percent, or 6.52 points, to 2,306.33.

Adani Group

According to Reuters, a market regulator examination into India's Adani group has shown violations of regulations on disclosures by listed businesses and limits on offshore fund holdings. Meanwhile, the case will be heard by the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

Reliance Industries

Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL), an oil-to-telecom conglomerate, announced on Monday that the third generation of the Ambani family had been appointed as directors to the company's board of directors, marking the beginning of a succession.
