Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty indicates a flat start; TVS Motors, Bajaj Consumer in focus

The NSE IX's GIFT Nifty dropped on Thursday, suggesting that Dalal Street will probably get off to a slow start.

Stock Market Today: The GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX fell 12 points, to 22,376 on Thursday, indicating that Dalal Street was likely to have a quiet start. Focused stocks include Bharat Forge, which had a gain of more than 13% after reporting earnings. On Wednesday, Siemens experienced a gain of more than 3%, establishing a new 52-week high, while ABB India closed with a rise of more than 4%, reaching a new top. Indian stocks ended the trading session on Wednesday with minimal movement as strong results from Hero MotoCorp and an increase in oil stocks offset investor concerns over profit-taking.

TVS Motors

With its headquarters located in Chennai, TVS Motor Company is a multinational Indian motorbike manufacturer. In terms of revenue, it is the third-biggest motorbike company in India. The corporation can produce nearly four million automobiles annually, with sales of three million units. In FY2023–24, TVS Motor saw its highest-ever revenue and profit, and the firm sold over 40 lakh units, marking a significant milestone.

Bajaj Consumer

An Indian business called Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd. specialises in hair care goods. The second-biggest business in the Shishir Bajaj Group of Companies is Bajaj Consumer Care. The buyback request for up to 57.41 lakh fully paid equity shares at a price of Rs 290 per share was authorised by the Bajaj Consumer’s Board.
