Stock Market Today: Indices trade lower in pre-opening session due to weak global cues

Stock Market Today: In the pre-opening session, benchmark indices are trading lower. The Sensex fell 195.24 points, or 0.32%, to 60610.98, while the Nifty fell 28.80 points, or 0.16%, to 17864.70.

Asia stocks head for second weekly loss

Asia-Pacific stocks fell on Friday, heading for a second weekly loss as investors worried about the possibility of further Fed tightening and the impact on the US economy.

Short-term Treasury yields in the United States remained near a one-month high, helping the dollar rise against major peers after Richmond Fed President Thomas Barkin added to a chorus of hawkish central bank commentary in recent days.

MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares sank 0.54% and was on course for a 1% weekly decline, after losing 1.16% in the previous week.

Stock Market Today: Hindalco Industries Q3 Rsults

Hindalco Industries reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,362 crore for the quarter ended December 2022 on February 9, down 63 percent from Rs 3,675 crore in the same quarter last year.

According to an exchange filing, revenue from operations was Rs 53,151 crore, up 6 percent from Rs 50,272 crore in the same quarter last year.

Mahindra & Mahindra to expand manufacturing facility in Telangana

The Telangana government signed an agreement with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd on Thursday to establish a manufacturing facility for its ‘Last Mile Mobility business,’ which will include the development and production of electric three and four-wheelers.

According to a state government release, the MoU was signed on the sidelines of the announcement of Telangana Mobility Valley (TMV), “India’s first new mobility-focused cluster,” at the first edition of Mobility Next Hyderabad Summit.
