Stock Market Today: SGX predicts a flat opening amid mixed global cues

Stock Market Today: The broader index in India is expected to open flat to down, down 37.50 points or 0.21 percent, according to trends on the Singapore Exchange Nifty. On the Singapore Exchange, the Nifty futures were trading around the 17,890 level.

Wall Street ends mixed

After the January U.S. consumer price data offered little to alter expectations about the Federal Reserve’s course for interest rate hikes, Wall Street stocks ended the day with a mixed bag. The S&P 500 lost 0.03% of its value to close at 4,136.17 points.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.46% to 34,089.40 points, while the Nasdaq rose 0.57% to 11,960.15 points.

Stock Market Today: Oil prices fall

Early Asian trading on Wednesday saw a decline in oil prices after prices dropped by more than $1 a barrel the previous session as industry data indicated a much larger-than-anticipated increase in U.S. crude inventories. By 01:11 GMT, Brent crude futures had fallen 20 cents to $85.38 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures had fallen 19 cents to $78.87.

According to market sources citing American Petroleum Institute data on Tuesday, the amount of crude in the United States’ stockpiles increased by about 10.5 million barrels during the week ending February 10.

Stock Market Today: Eicher Motors Q3 Earnings

Eicher Motors announced a 62.41 percent increase in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended in December 2022, from Rs 456.13 crore the previous year to Rs 740.84 crore. The company that manufactures Royal Enfield reported operating revenue of Rs 3,721 crore, up 29.17% from Rs 2,880.65 crore in the same quarter last year.

According to the company, its EBITDA margin increased from 19.6 percent to 23.9 percent over a nine-month period. Additionally, cash on hand increased to Rs 9120 billion from Rs 7,215 billion.
