Stock Market Today: Special Trading Session! Nifty goes beyond 22400 pts, Sensex up 150 pts

The Sensex was up 165.57 points at 73,910.92, while the Nifty was up 47.80 points at 22,386.60 after hitting a new record high of 22,420.25.

Stock Market Today: Today’s record high Nifty began over the 22,400 barrier for the first time. Positive cues from international markets and movements in the GIFT Nifty suggested that the domestic benchmarks would have a robust start. After reaching a new record high of 22,420.25, the Nifty was up 47.80 points at 22,386.60, while the Sensex was up 165.57 points at 73,910.92. There were about 1,346 rising, 435 falling, and 78 stable shares. On Friday, the dollar appreciated vs the Japanese yen after Bank of Japan (BOJ) governor Kazuo Ueda stated it was premature to declare victory over inflation, while it declined against the euro due to worse than anticipated U.S. economic data. Bitcoin’s value remained marginally below its peak of almost two years.

Stock Market Today: Why market is open today?

Following yesterday, the Nifty reached an all-time high of 22,353 while the Sensex reached an all-time high of 73,819. Later on, though, it began to decline somewhat, and the Sensex closed at 73,745, up 1245 points. The stock market is open on Saturday as well as today. The National Stock Exchange, or NSE, declared on February 14 that business will continue as usual on March 2, even though it is a holiday. During this time, there will be two unique live trading sessions. The catastrophe recovery site is being tested using this. Special trade will take place twice a day, on the primary site from 9.15 to 10 am and on the DR site from 11.30 to 12.30 pm.

Beginning of March F&O series

Bulls gained the upper hand over bears and Dalal Street following the market’s decisive breakthrough of the consolidation range and subsequent historic high at the beginning of the March F&O series. Therefore, analysts predict that in the upcoming session, the Nifty 50 will rise towards the 22,500–26,000 range, with immediate support around 22,200 and crucial support at the 22,000 mark. Tata Steel gained 6.5 percent to close at Rs 149.95, the highest since August 17, 2021. On the daily charts, a strong bullish candlestick pattern was established with noticeably greater volumes.
