Stock Market: Continuous Rise of Nifty and Sensex after Ceasefire between India and Pakistan
Stock Market: Today Indian stock market started with positive change in its benchmark indices Nifty and Sensex. The Nifty 50 index opened today at 24,613. The Sensex also opened positive today at 81,278.49. Market is giving mix response for different stocks as their results are announced or to be announced soon.
Conflict between India and Pakistan
On 7th May 2025, India attacks nine terrorists’ camps inside Pakistan in response to attacks in Pahalgam by terrorists on 22nd April 2025 under operation Sindoor. After this event Pakistan started attacks by drones an missiles in India which were became unsuccessful due to strong defense system in India. India counter attacked and damaged many airbases and other important targets. Indian defense forces also struck armed group training facilities in Pakistan. Ultimately both countries agreed on ceasefire on 10th May 2025. In this duration market was almost unaffected except on 10th May where it was a little down.
A Little Weakness in Yesterday Market
Tuesday's session showed a little weakness due to profit booking by many players in the market as Monday’s session was up by almost 4%. Major indices lost almost 40% of what it had added on Tuesday. But GIFT Nifty, which is an early indicator for Indian equities, showed positive change before the opening of today’s market.

• INDORAMA: It opens at 46.47 and day’s high went to 46.47 after yesterday’s close of 38.73.
• GENCON: It opens at 32.99 and day’s high went to 38.13 after yesterday’s close of 31.78.
• GRSE: It opens at 2175 and day’s high went to 2264.90 after yesterday’s close of 1914.80.
• OMINFRAL: It opens at 125.93 and day’s high went to 142.10 after yesterday’s close of 124.68.
After the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Indian market is showing continuous rally. Although yesterday it went down due to profit booking in the market but today it again came on growth track.
