Stock Market Update Today: The domestic stock market is witnessing strength today amid better global cues. In today’s trading, both Sensex and Nifty indices are strongly bullish. Sensex has strengthened by more than 500 points, while Nifty has crossed 15700.
All-round shopping is being seen in business today. The market has got a good boost from bank and financial stocks. Both the indices have strengthened around 1.5 percent on Nifty. Auto, metal and FMG indices have also gained about 1 per cent. Other major indices including IT, Pharma and Realty are also in the green.
At present, the Sensex is up by 510 points and is trading at the level of 52776. While Nifty is trading 156 points higher at the level of 15712. Buying in heavyweight stocks. 27 stocks of Sensex 30 are in the green mark. Today’s top gainers include INDUSINDBK, HUL, BHARTIARTL, ICICIBANK, DRREDDY, KOTAKBANK, HDFCBANK and SBIN.
ONGC’s foreign investment arm has discovered oil in a block in Colombia. This discovery was made in the recently drilled well, Uraka-1X, CPO-5 Block, Llanos Basin, Colombia.
