The top gainers on the Nifty were Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Power Grid Corporation, NTPC, and SBI.

Top 5 stocks of the day: Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Power Grid Corporation, NTPC, and SBI were the top gainers on the Nifty, while LTIMindtree, HCL Technologies, Divis Labs, HUL, and Bajaj Auto were the top losers. On the sectoral front, there was a mixed trend: the Power index increased by 6%, the Oil & Gas index increased by nearly 2%, and the Bank index increased by 1%. The Information Technology and Realty indices had decreases of 0.5 percent apiece. The BSE Smallcap and Midcap indices saw slight advances at the close.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

The Nifty was up 168.30 points, or 0.81 percent, at 20,855.10, and the Sensex was up 431.02 points, or 0.63 percent, at 69,296.14 at the closing. A little over 1611 shares rose, 1833 shares fell, and 99 shares remained constant. On December 5, benchmark indices closed higher for the sixth straight day, with Nifty closing at 20,850.

HCC Infrastructure Company paid an earn-out of Rs 110 crore by Infrastructure V Pte Ltd

HCC Infrastructure Company, a division of Hindustan Construction Company, has been paid an earn-out of Rs 110 crore by Infrastructure V Pte Ltd and Cube Highways for the sale of a stake in Baharampore-Farakka Highways (BFHL). Furthermore, for a sum of CHF 98 million (Rs 928 crore), Demathieu Bard, a French company, has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement with Steiner AG, Switzerland, the material subsidiary of HCC, in order to divest its entire equity interest in Steiner Construction SA, Switzerland, a step-down material subsidiary of the company. As a result, upon completion of the sale or disposal, Steiner Construction SA will no longer be a subsidiary of Steiner AG, Switzerland, and the business.
