Top 5 Stocks Of The Day: The Nifty saw notable gains for Apollo Hospitals, Nestle India, Cipla, and SBI Life Insurance, and notable losses for Tata Consumer Products, Power Grid Corporation, Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, and SBI. Finserv Bajaj Inc. Auto, capital goods, FMCG, oil and gas, bank, information technology, real estate, metal, and power all had their sectors indexes close in the red, with losses ranging from 0.5 to 1 percent. Two percent dropped from the BSE small-cap index and 0.2 percent from the mid-cap index.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

Both the Sensex and the Nifty had dropped by 616.75 points and 0.83 percent, respectively, to settle at 73,502.64 and 22,332.70, respectively. Roughly 2790 shares fell, 131 shares remained steady, and 1005 shares increased. The Nifty fell below 22,350 as benchmark indices concluded the day on March 11 down.

Zydus Lifesciences achieved a milestone

Zydus Lifesciences attained a significant milestone in 2024 when its market capitalization increased by 60%, reaching a total of Rs 1 lakh crore. During Monday's intraday trading on the BSE, the stock rose about 4% and reached a new high of Rs 1,015.70. The USFDA's positive EIR report for the company's Ahmedabad site signalled the end of the inspection.
