Top 5 stocks of the day: Major Nifty gainers included Apollo Hospitals, Adani Ports, Eicher Motors, Titan Company and LTIMindtree; losers included Bajaj Finserv, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, SBI Life Insurance, IndusInd Bank, and Tata Steel. With oil and petrol prices rising by one to two percent each, all sectoral indices finished the day higher. The BSE Smallcap Index increased by 1% and the Midcap Index by 0.7 percent.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

The Nifty was up 97.30 points, or 0.51 percent, at 19,230.60 at close, while the Sensex was up 282.88 points, or 0.44 percent, at 64,363.78, at the close. There were roughly 2215 advances, 1351 declines, and 124 shares that were constant. On November 3, Indian benchmark indices closed higher for the second straight day, with Nifty closing above 19,200.

Reserve Bank of India set a coupon rate of 7.46 percent

The new government security maturing in 2073 will have a coupon rate of 7.46 percent established by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on November 3 during the weekly bond auction, the central bank announced in a release. The announcement further stated that the government raised Rs 10,000 crore with this bond. On November 3, the RBI raised Rs 13,000 crore during the weekly bond auction by setting an implied yield on 10-year benchmark 7.18 percent 2033 bonds at a cut-off of 7.3145 percent. In a similar vein, the implicit yield at the 7.2909 percent cut-off date in 2028 raised Rs 7,000 crore.
