Top 5 Stocks Of The Day: TCS, BPCL, Tata Consumer Products, Tata Consumer, and Nestle India saw the most declines on the Nifty, whereas Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Auto, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Hindalco Industries, and Bharti Airtel saw the biggest gains. Healthcare, IT, FMCG, capital goods, oil and gas, and electricity all had their sectors indexes close in the red by one to two percent. The BSE Smallcap and Midcap indices both saw a 1% decline.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

The Nifty was down 238.20 points, or 1.08 percent, at 21,817.50, and the Sensex was down 736.37 points, or 1.01 percent, at 72,012.05 at the closing. A total of 2458 shares fell, 1202 shares increased, and 112 shares remained constant. On March 19, selling across all sectors caused a one percent decline in Indian market indices, with Nifty closing at 21800.

In today’s meeting, the Board of Directors approved the company’s fund-raising plan for FY 2024–2025. This plan calls for the issuance of Redeemable Non-Convertible Debentures up to an overall limit of Rs 6000 crores through private placements or public issues in one or more tranches, as may be periodically determined by the Board of Directors or its committee.
