On the day of the April F&O expiry, benchmark indices finished higher, with Nifty trading above 17900. At the closing, the Nifty was up 101.40 points, or 0.57 percent, at 17,915, while the Sensex was up 348.80 points, or 0.58 percent, at 60,649.38. Approximately 126 shares were unchanged, 1,421 decreased, and 1,970 rose.

By midday on April 27, the final day of bidding, the Mankind Pharma IPO had been subscribed 10.41 times, mostly due to qualified institutional buyers (QIBs). Bids came in for 29.19 crore equity shares against an offer size of 2.8 crore. Following the company's mobilisation of Rs 1,298 crore through the anchor book on April 24, the offering size was decreased from almost 4 crore shares to 2.8 crore shares.
Investors from the QIB bid 33 times the amount authorised to them. The portion reserved for high-net-worth individuals received 3.05 times as much interest. Retail investors have so far only bid for 66% of the shares reserved for them in the IPO, failing to excite them.
