Tata Consumer zooms as Citi begins coverage with 'buy' rating, sees 21% upside
With a bullish price objective of Rs 1,020, brokerage company Citi has started coverage on FMCG giant Tata Consumer Products, suggesting a possible gain of 21 percent from Friday's closing price.
Given its positive outlook, Citi is also the first of the 25 brokerages that cover the stock to predict that Tata Consumer shares will surpass the Rs 1,000 threshold.
The brokerage firm also predicts that the company would enhance its position in its core categories, contributing a higher percentage of overall sales—27% as opposed to 15% previously—to the business.
