Top 5 stocks of the day: From Divis Laboratories to Asian Paints, here are the top gainers today

Top 5 stocks of the day: Hero MotoCorp, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, NTPC, and Bajaj Finserv were the Nifty's biggest losers, while Divis Labs, Nestle India, HUL, Tech Mahindra, and Asian Paints were its biggest winners. All of the sectoral indexes finished in the negative territory, with capital goods, PSU banks, electricity, and metal all falling by 2% while auto, banks, real estate, and oil & gas all fell by 1%. Both the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices had a 1% decline.

Sensex and Nifty50

The Nifty was down 207.00 points or 1.05% at 19,526.50 at closure, and the Sensex was down 676.53 points or 1.02% at 65,782.78. 2265 shares fell, 1232 shares rose, and 132 shares remained unchanged. On August 2, benchmark indices finished down, with Nifty below 19,550.

Finally, the company believes that the improvement in pre-sales over FY24-26 is already reflected in the stock price.
