Gold rises as market awaits US inflation data, Fed minutes
On Wednesday, gold prices rose as the dollar fell. Investors were looking for clues about the impending peak in interest rates in the minutes of the most recent Federal Reserve policy meeting as well as inflation data.
By 0921 GMT, spot gold increased 0.4 percent to $2,010.23 per ounce. US gold futures increased by 0.2% to $2,024.30.

LIC appoints Ratnakar Patnaik as Chief Investment Officer
Ratnakar Patnaik has been appointed by Life Insurance Corporation of India as Chief Investment Officer with effect from April 10. P R Mishra has been transferred and posted to another assignment. Tablesh Pandey, who has assumed control as the Corporation's Managing Director, is replaced as Chief Risk Officer by P C Paikray.
The quoted price for Life Insurance Company of India was Rs. 549.50, down Rs. 1.00 or 0.18 percent.
