Top 5 stocks of the day: From Divis Laboratories to Power Grid Corporation, here are the top gainers today

Top 5 stocks of the day: Cipla, Adani Enterprises, Britannia Industries, BPCL and UPL were among top Nifty losers, while gainers were Divis Laboratories, UltraTech Cement, Tech Mahindra, Hindalco Industries and Power Grid Corporation. Except auto and IT, all other sectoral indices ended in the red.The BSE midcap and smallcap ended on flat note.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

On February 20, benchmark indices declined as a result of selling in all sectors except for the auto and IT names. The Nifty was down 99.60 points or 0.56% at 17,844.60 at close, and the Sensex was down 311.03 points or 0.51% at 60,691.54 at close. A total of 155 shares are unchanged, while 2118 shares have decreased and 1370 shares have increased.

Crisil gains after strong Q4 results

Due to a high base, CRISIL saw a 6.3% year-over-year decline in its consolidated profit for the quarter ended in December 2022, falling to Rs 158.02 crore.

The profit for the fourth quarter of FY22 was inflated by an exceptional gain of Rs. 45.82 crore from the sale of real estate.

For the quarter, total operating revenue increased by 16.5% YoY to Rs 822.3 crore. Operating EBITDA increased by 12.3% YoY to Rs 216.2 crore, but margin decreased by 98 bps YoY as a result of rising employee costs and other expenses.
