Auto, bank, realty, power, realty, and FMCG all fell 0.5 percent, while the PSU bank index increased 1% and the Information Technology index added 0.4 percent. The BSE midcap and smallcap indices finished flat.

In the turbulent day on June 19, benchmark indices closed lower, with the Nifty around 18,750. The Sensex was down 216.28 points, or 0.34 percent, at 63,168.30, while the Nifty ended down 70.50 points, or 0.37 percent, at 18,755.50. Approximately 1,623 shares rose, 1,937 fell, and 163 were unchanged.

Adani Group stocks inch lower amid spurt in volumes
Stocks of Adani Group were trading down amid increased volume. Adani Enterprises Ltd fell 4%, Adani Ports & SEZ fell 1.6 %, Adani Transmission 0.5 %, Adani Total Gas Ltd 1.5 %, Adani Green Energy 1.2 %, Ambuja Cements and ACC Ltd sank 2% apiece, and NDTV plummeted 3%.
HPCL gets long-term contract from OPaL to supply natural gas
ONGC Petro additions Ltd (OPaL) has awarded Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) a large long-term contract for the provision of natural gas to their Mega Petrochemical Complex at Dahej.
OPaL, a joint venture of ONGC, GAIL, and GSPC, requires Natural Gas to operate its own Captive Power Plant (CPP) to meet its power and steam needs. HPCL obtained the contract through competitive bidding against an OPaL tender. Under this contract, HPCL will supply 13.53 Trillion Btu of Natural Gas to OPaL from 23 October to May 26.
