Coal India’s shares jump nearly 3% as production in FY23 hits 17-year high
Coal India and its subsidiaries increased their production in March by 4% year over year, while its output increased by 12.9% to 703.2 million tonnes from April through March of the 2023 fiscal year.
For the first time since the fiscal year that concluded in March 2006, the business claimed to have exceeded its yearly production target of 700 million tonnes. Moreover, coal offtake increased by 3.4% in March and by 5% in the fiscal year 2023. The quantity of coal supplied from the pitheads is known as offtake.
