Top 5 Stocks Of The Day: Top Nifty gainers include Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Adani Ports, Shriram Finance, and Divis Labs; losers include Eicher Motors, Titan Company, Bajaj Auto, LTIMindtree, and Nestle. With the exception of the auto sector, all other sectoral indexes saw gains at the conclusion of the day. Metal, power, capital goods, healthcare, and real estate all had increases of 1-4 percent, while oil and gas, IT, and banks saw increases of 0.5 percent apiece.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

The Nifty was up 135.10 points, or 0.61 percent, at 22,462.00 at closure, while the Sensex was up 363.20 points, or 0.49 percent, at 74,014.55. A little over 3015 shares rose, 572 shares fell, and 112 shares remained unchanged. On April 1, the market closed higher for the third straight day, with the Nifty closing at 22,450. The smallcap index gained about 3 percent, while the BSE midcap index increased by 1.6 percent.
