SME firm Hemant Surgical soars 100% in debut
A company that specialises in medical supplies and equipment, Hemant Surgical Industries, made a strong launch into the stock market. Its stock price significantly increased, rising by 99.5 percent to Rs 179.55 per share. This outstanding result greatly outperformed its Rs 90 per share initial offer price.
HSIL, a SME, was successful in raising about Rs 25 crore through its initial public offering. The company has specified how it intends to use the proceeds from the offering. These include meeting working capital needs, carrying out general corporate functions, and directing the revenues towards capital investment for the installation of extra plant and machinery.
Sensex and NSE Nifty50
Nifty was near 18,600 on June 5, as benchmark indices came to a successful conclusion. The Sensex was up 240.36 points, or 0.38%, at 62,787.47 at the time of close, and the Nifty was up 59.70 points, or 0.32%, at 18,593.80. 170 shares remained steady, 1438 shares fell, and 2113 shares were up.
