Top 5 Stocks Of The Day: Top Nifty gainers are Power Grid Corporation, Cipla, Eicher Motors, SBI Life Insurance, and Maruti Suzuki; losers are Grasim Industries, UltraTech Cement, L&T, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, and JSW Steel. On the sectoral front, a mixed picture was observed, with capital goods, metal, and real estate down a percent apiece, and car, bank, FMCG, and power adding 0.2–0.8 percent. The smallcap index finished 0.2 percent lower, while the BSE midcap index dropped 0.4 percent.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

The Nifty was down 28.20 points, or 0.13 percent, at 21,697.50, and the Sensex was down 106.81 points, or 0.15 percent, at 71,645.30 at the closing. A little over 1467 shares rose, 1762 shares fell, and 75 shares remained constant. On February 1st, Budget Day, Indian benchmark indices concluded a tumultuous session with slight losses.
