Top 5 stocks of the day: Power Grid Corporation, Nestle India, Tata Consumer Products, IndusInd Bank, and L&T were among the top gainers on the Nifty, while Hindalco Industries, Adani Ports, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finserv, and NTPC were among the losers. The real estate, capital goods, auto, power, FMCG, PSU Bank, and information technology indexes all increased by between 0.4 and 1 percent, while the metal index fell by 0.5 percent. The BSE smallcap index increased 0.34 percent, while the midcap index increased 0.27 percent.

On April 26, benchmark indices increased, with the Nifty closing above 17800. The Nifty was up 44.30 points or 0.25 percent at 17,813.60 at closure, and the Sensex was up 169.87 points or 0.28 percent at 60,300.58. A total of 1,861 shares increased, 1,531 fell, and 138 were unchanged.

AU Small Finance Bank Q4 profit grows 23%

The earnings for the quarter ended March FY23 at AU Small Finance Bank increased by 23% year over year to Rs 425 crore, while provisions and contingencies decreased by 56% year over year. For the quarter, net interest income increased by 29.5 percent YoY to Rs 1,213 crore.

Gross non-performing assets (NPA) as a percentage of gross advances decreased by 15 basis points sequentially to 1.66 percent for the fourth quarter of FY23, and net NPA decreased by 9 bps QoQ to 0.42 percent. On the BSE, the AU Small Finance Bank was trading at Rs 644, down Rs 16.00 or 2.42 percent.

Mahindra Lifespace Developers has recorded a profit of Rs 54 lakh for the quarter ended March FY23, down sharply compared to Rs 137.7 crore in the same period last year due to a high base. The company reported an exceptional gain of Rs 96.8 crore in Q4FY22.Revenue from operations at Rs 255.4 crore for the quarter increased by 57.8 percent over a year-ago period.
