Top 5 stocks of the day: Power Grid Corporation, Larsen and Toubro, M&M, Cipla, and BPCL are among the top gainers on the Nifty, while Reliance Industries, Hindalco Industries, Adani Enterprises, Nestle India and HCL Technologies are among the losers. Approximately 1992 shares rise, 1635 shares fall, and 156 shares are constant.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

The Nifty is up by 40.20 points at 19,306 at closure, and the Sensex is up by 110.09 points at 64,996.60. The benchmark indices finished higher today with Nifty hovering around 19,300. Both the BSE midcap and smallcap indices increased by 5%. The exception of FMCG and IT, all other sectoral indices finished in the black, with real estate and capital goods rising by 1% apiece.

The Indian Ministry of Defence has placed an order which is anticipated to be carried out over the following 1 year. The order is worth Rs 2875.1 million inclusive of taxes with Kalyani Rafael Advanced Systems Private Limited, a joint venture company between Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (a wholly owned defence subsidiary of Bharat Forge Limited) and Rafael Advanced Systems Limited of Israel, for the supply of missile systems.
