India securities tribunal gives relief to NSE in colocation case
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) ruled against the National Stock Exchange in a colocation case on Monday, according to lawyers representing the two parties. According to the lawyer representing the NSE in Mumbai, the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) ordered the country's largest exchange to pay a penalty of one billion rupees ($12.3 million) for the flaws in its systems.
Tokyo shares end higher on lower yen, US rallies
Tokyo stocks rose after the closing on Monday, tracking Wall Street gains, as the yen fell to help exporters. The Nikkei 225 index rose 1.33 percent, or 352.51 points, to 26,906.04, while the Topix index gained 0.96 percent, or 18.51 points, to 1,945.38.
