Top 5 Stocks Of The Day: Hero MotoCorp, HCL Technologies, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, and SBI Life Insurance are the top Nifty losers, whilst Tata Consumer Products, M&M, BPCL, Bajaj Auto, and Adani Ports are the top winners. Real estate, metals, oil & gas, media, power, and auto all saw 1-2 percent increases among sectors, but the indices for telecom and information technology fell by 0.5 percent apiece. Both the BSE smallcap and midcap indices saw a 1% increase.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50
The Nifty was down 8.70 points, or 0.04 percent, at 22,453.30, and the Sensex was down 110.64 points, or 0.15 percent, at 73,903.91 at the closing. A little over 2686 shares rose, 1015 shares fell, and 111 shares remained unchanged. During the turbulent session, the Indian equity market finished slightly lower.
Tuesday saw the global oil benchmark Brent rise above $88 a barrel for the first time since October as growing Middle Eastern unrest and additional Ukrainian strikes on Russian energy facilities posed new challenges to oil supplies.
