Tuesday saw oil prices stabilise after dropping the day before as worries about Chinese growth and uncertainties over the rate of interest rate cuts were outweighed by the possibility of a tighter market as a result of OPEC+ supply limitation. Similar to last year’s target and in accordance with experts’ predictions, China announced an approximate 5% annual economic growth target for 2024; nonetheless, investors were disappointed by the lack of any stimulus initiatives to support its faltering economy.
